The Employment Based Third Preference (EB-3) Category

What is it?

The EB-3 category is for Professionals, Skilled Workers and Other Workers. The definitions for these  groups follows:

Professional Workers

This classification requires that the  alien have an offer of full-time permanent employment in which the position requires at least a Baccalaureate degree or foreign university equivalent.

Skilled Workers

This classification requires that the  alien have an offer of full-time permanent employment in which the position requires at least two years training or experience.

Other Workers

This classification requires that the alien have an offer of full-time permanent  employment in which the position requires less than two years of training or experience.

All of these categories require the  filing of a labor certification application by a U.S. employer with the  Department of Labor. Our experienced immigration attorneys can help the employer and employee navigate successfully through the labor certification application  process.
